Membership of DTAS also means that our grass roots experience is used to inform and shape the policies of national government, key funders and other important decision makers.
Full membership is open to all local, community led organisations utilising the development trust approach. Annual fee: £90 annually In addition to support from your Development Officer in areas such as governance, board training, organisational development, strategic planning, asset transfer and community enterprise, DTA Scotland membership benefits include: Provisional membership is open to local community organisations who are in the process of becoming a development trust and who meet the DTA Scotland membership eligibility criteria. Annual fee: £0 for year 1, £35 for year 2, £60 for year 3
Provisional members receive the same level of support and benefits as full members: Associate membership is open to individuals and organisations who support the aims of DTA Scotland Annual fee: £75 Individual or community organisation, £121 Local intermediary organisation, £242 National not for profit, £425 Statutory or Corporate body Individuals and organisations joining DTAS as associate members will be demonstrating their support for the growing development trust movement in Scotland. However, their membership also entitles them to: We are particularly keen to encourage other organisations and agencies that provide support to development trusts, particularly at a local or regional level, to join as associate members. This can lead to the development of a mutually beneficial partnership arrangement between DTAS and the particular associate member.Full Membership

Associate Membership
Joining is simple:
- Complete and return the Full, Provisional or Associate membership form along with any supporting documents required.
- On receipt of a Full or Provisional application, DTAS will send a confirmation e-mail and contact you to arrange a membership assessment meeting. A report will then be written for the DTAS Board, including a recommendation on membership approval.
- A membership visit will not be required for Associate member applicants.
- Confirmation of membership will be confirmed in writing, enclosing a membership certificate, welcome pack and invoice, if applicable
