DTAS conducted a members survey in December 2024 to gather opinions and views on community benefit funding and shared ownership of renewable developments. This survey was used as evidence to support our response to the Scottish Government’s consultation on Community benefits from net zero energy developments. The findings of this survey and the full DTAS consultation response can be found below.

Following this we held a members-only online event on the 4th March 2025 to further discuss specific consultation questions, broadly themed around 1) Equity of CBF and 2) the Use and Decision-Making of CBF. A summary of the key findings of this event can be found below.
