DTAS receives ongoing financial support from Scottish Government from their Third Sector Unit, the Social Justice and Regeneration Division, the Land Reform Unit and the Economic Development Directorate.
We receive grant funding from Acorns 2 Trees for a range of activities including our member support and Democratic Finance Scotland programme.
We receive grant funding from Esmee Fairbairn Foundation for our Democratic Finance Scotland programme.
We receive grant funding from the William Grant Foundation for our facilities management programme.
DTAS is part of a UK-wide consortium working in partnership with the UK Government Department of Levelling Up Housing and Communities to provide assistance with the Community Ownership Fund.
DTAS is part of a UK-wide consortium funded by National Lottery Community Fund for the Community Connectors programme.
We receive grant funding from National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic Environment Scotland for our churches programme.






Our partners
DTAS has a close working relationship with our sister organisations Locality in England, DTA Wales and Development Trusts NI – which together provide a combined membership of over 900 development trusts.
DTAS is a key member of the Scottish Community Alliance and works closely with other community networks.
DTAS is part of the Scottish Communities Coalition on Energy (SCCE), along with Community Energy Scotland, Scottish Communities Finance and Community Land Scotland. The principal aim of the group is to ensure a JUST transition for all Scottish Communities by widening their access to opportunities to financially benefit from renewables.
